Carole Mason - Business Manager

Responsible for long term quality & financial performance of the organisation. Managing the alignment process across both Gosforth Valley and Moss Valley practices. Overall responsibility for health & safety, personnel, formal written complaints, practice performance & buildings management, with support from an assistant practice manager at each site.

Responsible for the day to day running of the practice, including leading the team of receptionists. informal verbal complaints and comments, liaising with patients, staff & external organisations to ensure the smooth & efficient running of practice activities.

Our administration team are the first point of contact for patients. Their duties include:

  • Appointments
  • dealing with patient enquiries
  • repeat prescriptions
  • answering the telephone
  • scanning & data input
  • contacting patients as necessary
  • dealing with incoming mail & reports
  • administering recalls for regular checks
  • other general administrative duties

We are currently working to align our processes across the two sites and will increasingly be utilising our administration team to carry out integrated work for patients registered at both of our sites. It is therefore increasingly likely that patients will speak to staff from both sites. Our staff have access to the same information no matter where they are based.
